Fukukan/Fortune Can - COSHELL Self-Righting Doll Fortune Cat
A papier-mâché standing doll, made with Narushima washi paper originating from Hanamaki City in the Iwate Prefecture of Japan. The doll is weighted with clay from Ko-Kuji pottery in Kuji City, allowing the doll to return to an upright position by itself. Each doll has a unique hand-painted expression, so no two dolls are alike.
It is designed after Maneki-Neko, also known as the "lucky cat," which are Japanese figurines that are believed to bring good fortune and prosperity to the owner.
Sometimes they can't rise up by themselves, so please give them a hand and help them stand up again!
