These baskets are handwoven with fast growing aquatic plants, a natural and sustainable material with low environmental impact. Because of the natural materials, the color, pattern and shape will vary.

[About Water Hyacinth]

In just 3-4 weeks, the water hyacinth plant quickly fills the areas it grows in, negatively impacting the aquatic ecosystem and river traffic in southern Vietnam. Local artisans in northern Vietnam make use of local traditions by hand-weaving these thick, long stems one at a time, creating a truly one of a kind basket with unique patterns and variations in colors.Β In turn, we help preserve the local culture, stimulate employment in the region, and maintain the environment through these baskets.

    - Do not put food inside.

    - Do not wet or use in places with high humidity. Doing so can cause mould, colour transfer or discolouration. Also, there is a risk of rust if the product is placed on a metal surface.

    - Do not handle this product roughly such as by pulling it with excessive force or inserting items that are too heavy. Doing so may damage the product.

    - Do not use or store in a location that is near naked flames, in direct sunlight or that has high temperatures or humidity. Doing so may damage or deform the product.

    - Handle this product with care as fragments or fine splits may protrude from the material. Be careful not to catch clothes, etc. on this product.

    - Store in a dry place as moisture can cause mould and bad odours. Also, occasionally dry in a well ventilated and shaded place.

    - Note that the colour and shape may vary and there may be scratches, etc. on the material itself as this product is made from natural materials.
