MUJI By Public Goods food storage wraps are an excellent natural alternative to plastic wrap. Made with beeswax-coated cotton, they’re washable, reusable, compostable and keep food extremely fresh. Just use the warmth of your hands to soften and form them over a storage container or directly onto bread, cheese, fruit, vegetables or anything you like. As the wrap cools, it creates a safe, non-toxic seal to sustainably store your food; no single-use plastic waste necessary.

Each pack comes with a small (17.8 x 20.3cm / 7" x 8"), medium (25.4 x 27.9cm / 10" x 11") and large wrap (33.0 x 35.6cm / 13" x 14") that can be washed in mild soap and hung dry after use.

What’s in it: cotton, beeswax, plant oils and tree resin.

What’s not in it: plastic waste and the chemical residues they leave behind.

It’s all good: This product is biodegradable, reusable and compostable.

    Cotton, beeswax, plant oils and tree resin.

    - Bio-degradable. All Natural. Eco Friendly. Reusable.

    - Tree resin is used to add tack to the beeswax wrap, mimicking the effect of plastic cling wrap.

    - Residue is common when new. We recommend washing the wrap a few times before use with soap and cold water.

    - Residue on dishware is easily removed in a dishwasher or by rubbing with oil and hand washing.

    - Do not use on hot foods, or wraps will melt.

    - Stains may occur on the wraps since they absorb scents and colors.

    "They really cling to the container they are wrapped around- and keep the food really fresh. Don’t wash them off in hot water because they contain wax. I tried them to transport my flowers by wrapping the cut stem in a wet paper towel, and instead of plastic wrap I wrapped the small size storage wrap and squished it around the wetpaper around the flower stems! Amazingly successful!"
