Soft and puffy - not exfoliating

"I had some Japanese nylon body towels which were scrubby and exfoliating and I have been looking for the same thing for years, so was excited to find these. However, although these feel scratchy when dry, they are soft when wet (I admit this is just as the description says in their being soft). They lather soap up well and feel similar to washing with a soft bath pouffe, but they don't give the good skin "scrub" I had looked forward to."
