Sr. Public Relations & Marketing Specialist APPLY NOW
MUJI North America is seeking a full-time Sr. PR & Marketing Specialist for the Toronto Support Office PR & Marketing team. Reporting to the PR & Marketing Communications General Manager, this is a multi-faceted role with a focus on driving brand events and activations, social media and influencer programs, and coordinate day-to-day communication with our PR agency to support brand growth and awareness across the North America business, with a focus in Canada.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Brand Events & Marketing
- Build and manage an always-on brand event calendar at national and local levels timed to key moments in the wider North American marketing calendar
- Coordinate and launch brand events and activations, managing event logistics including project timelines, vendor coordination, driving on-site execution, and post-event content
- Support event-driven social, influencer, and PR amplification
- Act as main liaison with property marketing teams to ensure constant brand visibility in local markets
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to develop a thorough understanding of the marketing calendar, campaigns, and seasonal themes
- Align with store teams weekly to ensure marketing materials are continually updated and up to MUJI global brand standards
- Build and present post-event and weekly/monthly reports summarizing key metrics and learnings
Social Media Support
- Provide ideation and production support to the Social Media & Content Marketing Coordinator through content capture of MUJI Canada initiatives, products, and events for brand channels
- Daily monitoring of MUJI Canada social profiles, plus keeping a pulse on social media trends across platforms to identify potential engagement opportunities
- Assist with copywriting for social media, newsletters, and brand campaign materials
- Engage with MUJI’s community on social media through comments, DMs, and managing customer inquiries wherever necessary
Public Relations & Agency Coordination
- Serve as day-to-day point of contact with PR agency
- Coordinate sample pulls, gifting lists, and shipment logistics for influencers and media
- Maintain MUJI press grid, track press placements, and organize coverage for internal sharing
- Track incoming brand materials from global corporate team and incorporate into internal asset library
- Maintain influencer contact lists and execute influencer seeding and outreach programs
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 2 – 3 years of experience in public relations, marketing, or equivalent preferred
- Effective and detailed communication skills, written and oral
- Punctuality in project management and attendance
- Organization in managing marketing calendars and global brand assets
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and tight deadlines
- Intermediate photography and videography skills
- Adequate experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficient understanding of social media platforms, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok
- Intuitive grasp on MUJI’s brand philosophy and ethos
- Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate business needs, such as brand activations and events

Job Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $50,000-$58,000 CAD annually
***Must be flexible and able to travel within North America in accordance with business needs. Candidates must possess a valid passport and any required travel documentation or visas.
